The character sheets have space for recording a variety of information, on the backside is a section that relates to character Motivation. While not a factor that will affect the mechanics of gameplay, taking the time to determine the things that drive the character to act will not only provide plenty of roleplay fodder to enhance the experience, it also gives them a consistent behavioral narrative to help players to stay in character. Many of these traits can pair well with elements such as Wealth Class, Social Status, and the Advantages & Disadvantages to bring about a truly unique character.

Motivations are extremely subjective and can change as characters learn about the world and evolve. This section includes three common factors that help to define a character’s drive to act or react in a certain way.
