Most often linked to character backgrounds or particular roles, these specialty trees are more roleplay than combat focused. Each Support Specialty has an individual set of skills that are purchased during character generation and as game play proceeds The degree of training required to gain access to the skill tree is represented in the Build Point Cost. Each individual skill has an associated attribute that is used as the base score, adding the overall skill tree points and any modifiers to determine its overall score.

After a specialty skill tree has been acquired during character generation, players are able to purchase a number of novice skills to enhance their overall capabilities based on the number of build points they have remaining. More advanced Expert and Master level skills can be purchased after a specific number of skill tree points have been gained after level advancement, and may require some specific prerequisite skills.  All skills that are available to be purchased are included in the specialty tree.
