Description

Discipline of the mind and body allows those with a psionic talent to reach a state of Iin, giving them the ability to unleash and control a metaphysical force with only a thought. While most find this power to be fascinating or captivating, not unlike a sideshow act, the training required often leaves the castigate restrained, stern, and domineering. In combat, they rely their mental abilities for more than attack and defense, always looking for ways to undermine or impair opponents to weaken their position and resolve.

Build Notes

Because this build focuses on primarily using Iinexsis Combat for attack and defense, most of the available starting skills are selected. The Guile specialty and this selection of proficiencies provides the character with the mobility to target specific foes, as well as the ability to terrorize and dishearten. Depending on their purpose and background, the Guile specialty could be traded for Scoutcraft, Technocracy, or one of the other combat specialties, at the option of the player.

Starting Gear

Castigates utilize the power of the mind for attack and defense, leaving them with few needs in the realm of equipment, beginning play with only a suit of armor and travel pack, with options for a specialty kit*, tools*, or pack*, based on the starting wealth class. These packs do not have a specific monetary value, rather they are designed to ensure that starting characters have the basic gear they need to begin play. Substitutes for items of a roughly equal value may be made with GM approval.
