When it comes to weapons and armor, everyone wants to have the most impressive toys. Buying stock only gets you so far, in order to stand out from the crowd, you need to accessorize. From specialized ammo to body modifications, characters can customize everything from how weapons are carried to the amount of damage they cause, with more than a few surprises that will put foes back on their heels. Within each section is a table with all the items available and a brief description of each.

Notes:

Including ammunition for ranged impact weapons and the power packs that both melee and ranged energy weapons require, Ammo covers all the basic armament needs. Unlike other gear sections, ammo pricing doesn’t use the same quality ratings, rather each description includes the relevant information for price differences. Unless otherwise noted or negotiated, all weapons come with a full ammo pack, those included here are supplemental.

When purchasing weapons from a vendor, they will almost certainly include a standard means to safely carry. That is unlikely to be the case when taking one as a prize off of a fallen foe, or it may be that the standard means of carrying isn’t right for the character. Concealing a weapon or carrying backup that is easy to draw will require a special piece of gear. Regardless of the circumstances, the assortment of items included in this section provides the characters with plenty of options.

The science of cybernetics involves modifying organic beings with artificial components, whether electronic, bio-electric, or mechanical in nature. There is a great deal of controversy over the legal, moral, and ethical uses of cybernetics outside of those dictated by medical necessity, but there is unquestionably a market for those who voluntarily choose to mutilate their bodies to improve their natural capabilities. While there is always the danger of rejection, requiring a difficult (-4) Stamina save after surgery, general organic limitations only allow for a certain number of cybernetic modifications that equal to the Constitution score. In order to calculate this, each modification has a designation in its description, Minor modifications are equal to one point and Major modifications are equal to two points. Cybernetics have the same vulnerabilities as other electronics, and those subjected to overloads are considered stunned for the duration of the effect.
