Stories of what brought the giants down on the Krey in the Bitterstan Timberlands range from trespassing on their lands to the mechanizations of the shadow. Somewhere among them is the tale of the Krint. Attempts to create soldiers using magic, in the manner of the World Aspects, resulted in a cursed few able to shift between human and animal forms. This ability is passed down through generations, with those afflicted typically banishing themselves to the wilds. Able to take the form of a boar while keeping their mind, Boarkin prefer to remain on the periphery of civilization, interacting only with small groups, if anyone at all, in the quiet of Arloron.
